Drunken Driving

Saline police officers arrested a 42-year-old Saline man at 2:15 a.m. Jan. 13, when the man was seen repeatedly crossing into the oncoming traffic lane on Michigan Avenue, according to the police report.
The officer witnessed the man enter the left-turn lane and then pass into an oncoming traffic lane. There was no other traffic at the time.
The officer pulled the man over at the intersection of Old Creek Court and Old Creek Drive in Saline. The man reportedly crossed the left-turn lane numerous times between Sage Court and Maple Road.
When the officer pulled the man over, he could smell intoxicants on the man's breath. The driver's eyes were also red and watery, according to a police report.
A preliminary breath test showed the man had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent, which is more than the legal limit of 0.08 percent and is considered drunk under Michigan law. The man was lodged at the Saline Police Department until released on personal recognizance bond.
A 21-year-old Lodi Township man was arrested by Saline police officers at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 13, when his vehicle crossed the double-yellow line on Michigan Avenue, according to a police report.
The officer followed the man from Michigan Avenue near Mills Road to Ann Arbor Street, near Tower Drive. The man reportedly crossed the double-yellow line at least four times during that span.
The officer noted that the man's eyes were red and watery, and he could smell intoxicants on the man's breath. A preliminary breath test revealed a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent.
The man was lodged at the Saline Police Department until he was released on a personal recognizance bond.
Disorderly Conduct
A 39-year-old Saline man was arrested at about 1:15 a.m. Jan. 12 for disorderly conduct at Maplewood Lanes in Saline. The case is open pending review by the prosecutor.
Harassment
A 60-year-old Saline woman told police she was harassed by her 77-year-old mother from Dearborn Heights over the phone Jan. 9 at approximately 5 p.m.
The harassment was reportedly over a money dispute. According to a police report, the mother said she would "come there and blow your brains out, you dumb idiot."
A warrant is being sought against the mother.
Malicious Destruction
of Property
A red bowling ball was reportedly thrown through the passenger-side window of a 27-year-old Saline man's 1996 four-door Oldsmobile Jan. 18. The man heard a crash at 7:30 a.m. and reported the incident at about 9 a.m. The bowling ball was retained by the police as evidence. Police continue to investigate.
