Cheyenne Long contributed with a score of 192 and Catherine Mussi delivered a 183.

The varsity boys' squad had different fortunes, falling 21-9 to a Pioneer team ranked sixth in the state.

"The match was closer than what the score says," said coach John McMullen. "Several of the guys had fine games."

Austin McBee bowled a 235 game and Curtis Stevens came up with games of 223 and 187.

Kyle Pratt bowled a game of 200 and Cody Miller had a game of 192.

"We are improving weekly," McMullen said. "These kids have come a long way since the beginning of the season."

On Jan. 31, both the varsity boys' and girls' teams chalked up wins over Ann Arbor Huron.

The boys won 25-5 with the help of Chas Baker, who led the way with a game of 247. McBee had scores of 214 and 202, while Kraig Pfund bowled a 215.

The girls won 21-9. Long had a high game of 233 while Stacey Girbach bowled a personal best of 162.
