Couple ties knot

Cynthia Bredernitz of Milan and Joseph Couchene of Iron River were married Aug. 5, 2006, in an outdoor ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Jeanette Mastie of Tecumseh and the groom is the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Ann Couchene of Iron River.
The maid of honor was Beth Ann Nies, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Bredernitz of Ypsilanti, daughter of the bride; Rachel Mae Bredernitz of Milan, daughter of the bride; and Dawn Allstetter of Milan, friend of the bride.
The best man was Mike Nies of Iron River, uncle of the bride. Groomsmen were Aric Minney of Grosse Pointe, friend of daughter of the bride; Brandon Wessel of Milan, friend of daughter of the bride; and Donald Stegenga of Saline, friend of the bride.
The flower girl was Eila Sue Couchene, granddaughter of the groom.
A reception was held at Weller's Carriage House in Saline. The couple spent their honeymoon on an Alaskan cruise.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Lourdes College of Sylvania. The groom is a graduate of Pulaski High School. The couple will reside in Iron River.
