'Well-prepared' Saline Stingrays defeat Hartland

The Saline Stingrays swim club defeated Hartland in the South Michigan Swim League's breaststroke dual meet Jan. 30. The Stingrays prevailed by a score of 504-276.

"Our team swam very well," said coach Nick Munsell. "We had several best times. I am very proud of what they have done."
"Many of our swimmers had best times," said Matthew Bartow, who thanked the parents for getting the swimmers "to the meet on time."
"I could tell the swimmers were well-prepared for the meet," he said.
Highlights from the 8-and-younger boys' division included: 100-yard medley relay1, Theodore Eppinga, Matthew La, Evan Koerschner, Tyler Plocki, 1:26.21; 2, Michael MacGillivray, Adam Whitton, Santiago Arenas, Robbie Amori, :29.37; 25 freestyle1, Eppinga, 15.97; 3, Plocki, 17.46; 25 breaststroke1, Lau, 22.34; 2, Eppinga, 24.44; 3, MacGillivray, 24.81; 100 freestyle relay1, Koerschner, Lau, MacGillivray, Plocki, 1:16.00; 2, Amori, Connor Cooke, Adam Hau, Arenas, 1:34.68; 3, Adam Lampman, Christian Harrison, Ian Greene, Peter Ward, 2:03.70.
Highlights from the 9-10 boys' division included: 200 medley relay1, Jason Hau, Mark Whitton, Ryan Klemptner, Alex Calder, 2:43.60; 3, Layeth Sweidan, Brennan Corcoran, Alec Greene, Ian Dickenson, 3:12.78; 50 freestyle2, Hau, 35.42; 50 breaststroke1, Klepmtner, 44.57; 3, Whitton, 49.73; 200 freestyle relay1, Hau, Corcoran, Calder, Klemptner, 2:22.06; 2, Greene, Dickenson, Christopher Hughes, Sweidan, 2:47.08.
Daniel Goldstein took first in both the 50 freestyle (30.71) and 100 breaststroke (1:40.66) in the 13-14 boys' division and Megan Green won the 13-14 girls' 100 breaststroke in 1:28.76.
