'Well-prepared' Saline Stingrays defeat Hartland

The Saline Stingrays swim club defeated Hartland in the South Michigan Swim League's breaststroke dual meet Jan. 30. The Stingrays prevailed by a score of 504-276.

"Our team swam very well," said coach Nick Munsell. "We had several best times. I am very proud of what they have done."

"Many of our swimmers had best times," said Matthew Bartow, who thanked the parents for getting the swimmers "to the meet on time."

"I could tell the swimmers were well-prepared for the meet," he said.

Girls' 15-18 highlights included: 200 medley relay—1, Brittany White, Alli Littlejohn, Sam Crichton, Elyse Graessley, 2:12.84; 50 freestyle—1, Crichton, 28.28; 2, Littlejohn, 28.65; 100 breaststroke—1, Littlejohn, 1:17.27.

Daniel Goldstein took first in both the 50 freestyle (30.71) and 100 breaststroke (1:40.66) in the 13-14 boys' division and Megan Green won the 13-14 girls' 100 breaststroke in 1:28.76.
