ALEXANDER SCHUKOW
Saline
Alexander Schukow, 95, of Saline died at his home March 13, 2008. He was born Dec. 5, 1912, in the Ukraine, the son of Peter and War (Wara) Schukow.
In the 1940s in Germany, he married Paranka M. Charkenyez and she preceded him in death March 14, 1991.
Mr. Schukow retired from Universal Die Cast in Saline in the late '70s and he was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline.
He is survived by his son, Paul A., and daughter-in-law, Diane Schukow of Saline, and his grandchildren, Alex, Marie and Casey.
A private Mass of the Resurrection was held at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. William J. Stevenson officiated. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Saline.
The family would like to thank Arbor Hospice and extend a special thanks to Mr. Schukow's wonderful nurse, Anita Sherman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice and St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline.

Formerly of Saline
J. D. Killebrew, 92, of Findlay, Ohio, formerly of Saline, died March 15, 2008, in Findlay. He was born Oct. 31, 1915, in Tennessee, the son of Edgar Leonard and Addie (Akers) Killebrew.
Mr. Killebrew was preceded in death by his wife, Zella (Lyons) Killebrew, March 30, 1998.
During World War II, Mr. Killebrew was employed by the bomber plant in Ypsilanti. He was employed by Universal Die Casting in Saline for more than 35 years as a forman of the warehouse. He was a world class gardener, a skill he learned during the Great Depression.
Mr. Killebrew is survived by three sons, Jim Killebrew of Findlay, Harold Killebrew of North Carolina and Ronald Killebrew of Saline; a daughter, Susan Killebrew Davies of Wimberley, Texas; three grandchildren, Tina Killebrew of Midland, Eric Gumtow of Mountain View, Calif., and Steven Gumtow of Phoenix; and a great-granddaughter, Mallory Carson Gumtow.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. The Rev. Laura Speiran will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Saline.
FLORENCE MARIE BRITT
Milan
Florence Marie Britt, 81, of Milan died March 16, 2008, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Stanley Britt, and her parents, Enos and Ada (Rapson) Wessels.
Mrs. Britt is survived by her daughter, Charlett Marie (Eric) Stuebben; four grandchildren, Kerry (John), Kreg (Danielle), Kris and Kevin (Stacy); 10 great-grandchildren, Brittney, Andrew, Charles, Karley, Michael, Riley, Griffin, Scot, Joshua and Aubrey; and three sisters, Nora, Verna and Alyne.
