Meagan Creutz, Lindsey Cummings, Kate Carter and Alex Leptich combined to run the distance medley relay in a school indoor record time of 12:39, which was good for first place.
But Creutz, Cummings, Carter and Leptich weren't done there, finishing third and posting a school indoor record time of 9:36 in the 4x800 meter relay.
"It's a good start," said girls' track head coach Mike Smith. "All four relays competed well. We're happy with the meet."
Saline's other two girls' relays finished with respectable showings, as well. Kim Miller-Tolbert, Mary Rzepka, Taylor Franz, and Stefanie Gallardo combined to run the 4x200 relay in 14th with a time of 1:53.
In the 4x400, Creutz, Carter, Franz, and Miller-Tolbert ran 4:24, which was good for 13th.
Individually, Saline's Corrie Castro had a solid meet, posting a fourth-place finish and personal-best time of 26:38 in the 200 meter dash. Castro also ran the 4x200 relay with her club team, Maximum Output, which finished fifth.
The distance medley relay (in which the four runners run legs of 1200, 400, 800 and 1600) was also good to the Saline boys. Tommy Hunt, Russ Simon, Brian Hernandez and Brian Conn combined for a fourth-place finish with a time of 10:55.83.
In other boys' results, Kyle Zill, Jarret Roe, Russ Simon and Joe Zill ran the 4x800 in a ninth-place time of 8:40.88. Senior Branden Post finished in 14th place with a time of 8.77 in the 60-meter hurdles.
The foursome of Cretz, Cummings, Carter and Leptich also made a strong showing at the Nike national indoor meet in which the runners finished seventh in the 4x400 relay, only one spot short of "All-American" honors.
