The frigid, damp conditions at the University of Michigan's spring football game at Saline High School Saturday didn't deter people from raving about the venue.

Saline Athletic Director Rob White was on the field Saturday and spoke with pride about the campus he described as "world class."
"This football facility demonstrates the financial commitment Saline has made to provide the finest environment for our students," he said. "And it's not just with athletics. If you go into our auditorium or into our classrooms, it will blow your mind."
White added that having the U of M Athletic Department choose Saline for such a significant event confirms "the money was well spent."
U of M head coach Rich Rodriguez commented on the facilities at Saline High School during his post game press conference, saying "It's a great place. I really appreciate the fine folks here at the school."
The new coach joked that he personally enjoyed the locale.
"My house is not far from here, so it won't take me long to go home and change my clothes," he said.
Rodriguez added that the site provided a great atmosphere for his players.
Chris Balas of The Wolverine magazine was among the members of the media covering the game.
"The site is fantastic," he said. "It's a first class operation. It's nice to see the players in a setting like this."
U-M defensive coordinator Scott Shafer called the facilities gorgeous.
"We bought a home in this area and visited the school before we made our decision," he said. "I'm excited to see my kids go to school here."
Jamie Morris, former U-M running back, U-M athletic department official and radio host, added: "We chose Saline because it's close to home and the colors are right. It's a tremendous venue," he said.
