Derby born and bred, she was one of England's Rosie the Riveters during World War II, running a crane, doing her bit for the war effort. She loved to dance the Charleston and sing ditties to all that would listen. She loved a good cup of tea and a nice long chin wag.
Mrs. Duffield could be seen working on her embroidery on the front porch of her son Geoff's home on North Street in Milan, where she came to stay after her dearly loved husband, Harold, passed away in their home in England. She was a loving and devoted wife, married to Harold Duffield for 63 years.
Mrs. Duffield had two sons, Geoffrey (Linda) and Roger (Daron) and was a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She never met a stranger; everyone was her friend. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, in Ann Arbor. The funeral will be held at noon, with the Rev Gordon Moore officiating. Cremation will follow.

Belleville
Mrs. Lewis spent most of her life in Ypsilanti, raising her family and operating her hair salon, L & C Haircare. She was a member of the Eagles, Women of the Moose, and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed traveling and classic cars.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Keith Mathis; two daughters, Crystal (Merlyn) Wade of Canton and Kimberly (Robert) Jackson of Belleville; two sons, Jeremy Mathis and Justin (Shellie) Mathis, both of Belleville; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Brenda (Gray) Jarvis of Milan and Debra (Guy) Moore-Hilden of Belleville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, William Hilden; and two sisters-in-law, Karen Lewis and Sandra K. Fraser.
A funeral was held Thursday at David C. Brown Funeral Home in Belleville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Arbor Hospice & Home Care, and would be appreciated by the family.
Milan
On June 15, 1956, he married Katherine Plummer and she survives.
Mr. Webber was employed with Milan's Department of Public Works for more than 40 years, retiring in 1999. He also was a member of the National Guard, served on the Milan Area Volunteer Fire Department for 40 years, was an auxiliary police officer for more than 25 years, performed constable duties and assisted the sheriff's department.
In addition to Katherine, his devoted wife of 50 years, he is survived by son Michael Jr. of Milan and Michael's children, Krystle (Jon) Vanover and their daughter, Kayla, and Michael III; and son Dudley (Laura) of West Virginia and his children, Eric, Erin and Andrew.
He also is survived by a brother, Ronald (Bonnie) Webber of Milan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Elliott.
Visitation was held Sunday and Monday at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan. A funeral was held Tuesday. Burial followed at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan.
