LaCrosse Tournament will be held at the Saline High School stadium at 1300 Campus Parkway. Friday games begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday games begin at noon, and Sunday games begin at noon. Tickets are $7 per day, $12 for two days and $15 for three days. Tickets may be purchased at the gate during the tournament or in advance at Saline Community Education. The Washtenaw County Solid Waste Program is holding a regional environmental clean-up day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Saline Department of Works. It will be a drop-off that will accept recyclable materials, appliances, household hazard waste, furniture, tires and electronic equipment. There is a suggested donation of $10 and additional donations for more than one appliance or more than four tires. This collection program is only for Washtenaw County residents. Household garbage will not be accepted. City of Saline Patrick J. Little Public Works facility is located at 1234 Tefft Court.

Family Fun Day, featuring a fundraiser, will take place at Immaculate Conception Church in the Fr. Joseph Strzelewicz Family Center in Milan. Food, children's games, merchandise and 10 cash prizes will be offered. The value of the cash prizes will range from $3,500 to $500. Tickets are $50 each. The Milan's Woman's Club is offering a $500 education scholarship to an area student. To be eligible, an applicant must graduate in the Milan High School class of 2008, or be enrolled in an accredited school, or plan to continue higher education at an accredited school. Opening Day 5K kicks off Discover Milan Day. The Milan High School Development Office is hosting the second annual 5K Run/Walk at 7:50 a.m. The entry fee is $20, but racers and walker teams may choose to obtain sponsors in lieu of paying the fee. T-shirts will be available for the first 200 registrants. Entry forms and sponsorship forms will be available online at www.milan5k.com or from Roberta Myyra at 439-5056. All proceeds will benefit the Milan High School Athletics Complex Capital Campaign.
Rubber Ducky Race will be held during Discover Milan Day. The Athletic Development Office at Milan High School is organizing the race on the Saline River at 2 p.m. Ducks are $5 each and are available before May 3 at the Lighthouse CafÈ and Milan Floral. Representatives will be selling ducks on Main Street before the Milan Youth League Parade and during the ball games in Wilson Park.
