Apparently, injuries aren't going to be enough to slow down the red-hot Saline lacrosse team.

Despite center forward Grant Phillips remaining sidelined with a broken arm and starting midfielder Kelly O'Sullivan limited to only a quarter of playing time, Saline nonetheless crushed visiting Walled Lake Northern Tuesday by a score of 13-1.
"This was a decent team we played tonight," said head coach John Phillips. "We won ground balls, kept possession, our goaltending was outstanding with Kevin Borst and Kyle Dooley ... there wasn't anything we didn't do well."
The Hornets were led again offensively by junior Scott Harris, who continued his excellent season with three goals and four assists.
Shane Jay-Garfein also collected three goals for the Hornets, while Ben Donahue and Nick Schineman each added two. Ryan Crawford, Evan Braun and Bobby Bianchi recorded one goal apiece to round out the Saline scoring.
Also notching assists for the Hornets were Ryan Luke with two and Brad Crimmons, Jacob Fosdick, Braun, and Donahue with one each.
Phillips also highlighted the play of his face-off specialists: Dan Lopez, Scott Merk, Grant Telfer and Brad Perino.
The team's dominance in the win over Walled Lake seemed to surprise even John Phillips, who wondered if his Hornets responded to playing one of their few games on the main field at SHS Stadium.
"They seem to like playing on this field," he said. "The last time we played out here we beat Holt. They were a good team and we took it to them. The same thing happened tonight."
As further evidence for how little Saline seemed to miss its injured players, last Saturday the Hornets flattened Lincoln by a 16-1 score. The Hornet defense had been uncharacteristically sloppy in the teams' previous meeting, a 14-7 Saline win April 28, but the Railsplitters were put away early in the rematch.
"We're just happen to be on a bit of a roll right now," John Phillips said. "Evan Braun and Shane Jay-Garfein have stepped up in the attack and been huge for us. We've had a lot of kids who have come in and done a great job."
Jay-Garfein and Matt Dysko each had three goals and an assist for Saline in the rout while Braun scored once and collected six assists. Harris, Donahue, Bianchi, Ben Boerema, Evan Kourtjian and Kevin Fisher each scored at least one goal.
The Hornets will have to work to keep their roll alive this week as they host Northville Saturday and travel to University of Detroit-Jesuit Tuesday. Computer rankings by the website LaxPower have Saline ranked 12th with Northville 18th and UD-Jesuit 19th.
"The guys are pumped for it," John Phillips said. "These are quality teams and they're going to be a challenge."
