Pattco Inc., more commonly known as Flatout, requested the $1,110,732 abatement in light of plans to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities by adding equipment to improve its automated processing system.
Flatout co-founder Mike Marsh expects to expand the company's manufacturing headquarters in the Saline industrial park on Woodland Drive possibly in the next 18 months, according to reports.
The company, which employs approximately 120 people, distributes its products to thousands of supermarkets, hotels, schools, universities and restaurants.
