"Prayer Flags" has been rescheduled. In honor of Flag Day, area residents are invited to make "prayer flags" from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. There is a $10 materials fee for each set of prayer flags. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The event will be held at 213 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline. Saline Kids Camp will be offered at the Saline Recreation Center for youth ages 5 through 12. The theme this week is "Eco Explorees." In addition to daily swimming, sports, crafts and games, the campers will be taking a field trip to the Scrap Box in Ann Arbor. For more information, call 429-3502.
Lacrosse Camp will be offered by Saline Community Education. Students entering fourth through eighth grades in the fall may register for the one-week class. Class will meet from 4 to 7 p.m. at the former band practice field. For more information, call 429-8020.

A luau will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Saline Area Senior Center. The cost is $10 and includes a meal and entertainment. Deadline to sign up is Aug. 1.
Destination Imagination Fridays will be offered through Saline Community Education. The program is for students entering first through ninth grades and will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Liberty School. A second session will run Aug. 22. Driver's Education Part 2 will be offered by Saline Community Education. The class is offered for students who have completed Driver Education Part 1. There must be a 90-day span between taking Part 1 and Part 2. The session will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at Saline High School. World War II and Korean War veterans will be treated to a picnic from 1 to 4 p.m. at VFW Post 423, 3230 S. Wagner Road. It's free for all World War II and Korean War veterans in the area. The veteran and a guest are free, while others will be asked to make a freewill offering at the door. Bring a service photo to share.

Deadline to sign up for a lunch and theater event sponsored by Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel Washtenaw County Chapter. It will include lunch at Arbor Brewing Co. and a play at the performance Network beginning noon Sept. 7, with the play at 2 p.m. Cost is $35 per person for lunch and the play.
